I am sure we are all VERY aware of the political climate today. I try to stay out of hot topic debates over politics and policies, but there is one thing that I urge everyone to do. VOTE! Our people's people sacrificed their lives for our right to vote and we must not take that sacrifice in vain. Whether you're Democrat, Republican, Independent or other, you should utilize your ability to have a voice, a say, an opinion in the way of our world. Voting is your opportunity to do so.
I will say that President Obama has brought our country a long way from when he took office. However, the job is not yet done. Realistically we knew it was going to take more than one term to pull us out of the downward slide that our economy was in, thanks to the previous policies that were in play. We need transparency, we need leadership, we need to continue on the path of change, to restore greatness back to our country. This is a learning experience for everyone, I don't think anyone in this generation has had to see what previous generations had been through...but we are moving forward!
I would encourage all of the readers of This Hair of Mine to make sure you are registered to vote. The registration deadline in Texas is October 9th, but you can check your particular state guidelines HERE. There's no reason we should not be involved in the outcome of this election. No only should you register, you also need to VOTE...doesn't make sense to register and not use your voice.
*steps down off soapbox*
